Delter Press - Infusion Filter Bundle

The Delter Infusion Filter (DIF) is our latest accessory that opens up a whole new myriad of brewing possibilities.

Basically, the DIF allows water to percolate through the coffee bed via gravity, however importantly, the coffee remains confined to a 'puck' in the coffee chamber.

This is akin to a no-bypass brewing environment, however is uniquely different as the water and coffee remain separated by the infusion filter and rather infuses through the coffee bed.

The plunger is only required right at the end to plunge through any remaining water once your brew time has elapsed, usually we recommend a brew time of 3:00 or longer for a great extraction result.

There are two DIF kits on offer. You can purchase the Delter Infusion Filter with or without the "Firm Y-Seal". Both options come with assembly and brewing instructions.

Materials:

• 304 Stainless Steel Mesh (woven)
• Food grade (BPA-Free) Silicone

Be sure to note that if using the Firm Y-Seal, the plunger must be removed from the chamber before adding water, and the seal must remain above the water line while in use.

The Firm Y-Seal functions differently to the standard Y-Seal that is included with the Delter Press.

It seals from the top of the brew chamber which is useful for the Infusion Brewing method, and we certainly recommend it.

However the Firm seal is not required and if you already enjoy the function of the standard seal then this will work perfectly with the DIF also.

Be sure to note that if using the Firm Y-Seal, the plunger must be removed from the chamber before adding water, and the seal must remain above the water line while in use.

Being a firmer seal, it is harder to pull upward to remove, so keep it above the water level at all times.
